"I don't care, I want to go out and do some looking around. Do not worry I will take all the safety that I need. Besides, who would want to mess with the top Dragon i mean really." Zain sighed as he got away from the other people that were trying to talk him out of going, and doing some re con work for himself. Zain liked to do things for himself, and take no crap from anyone else, he wanted to see the things the way that they were meant to be seen. He hated just being told, though he knew that he could be in a lot of trouble if he got caught by the wrong people. Then again, who were the wrong people, and who were the right people? That was more up to him then it was up to anyone else at that time. So, dressed in some normal clothes he had, brown pants, and a white shirt that covered up his tattoos and other things as well. His shoes were light and he walked this time all the way down out of the cave and onto the main road there. He was not going to fly, it would look bad and everyone knew what he looked like in that form.
So he walked, and for some time rode in one of the many carriages that passed along that road heading into the neutral city that was out there. He sure did like the way the planet looked from this point of view. Zain was random, he knew that, and he had many things that he would do differently, but this was not the time or place for such things to happen. He had to sneak in and be able to do what he had to do and with out people knowing that he was doing this kind of thing. Once he was in the city limits he had walked the rest of the way in, with his money pouch attached to his side, and his sword at the ready, he was ready for anything to happen to him. Once he got into the more populated area he started to search things out as he was walking along a road, it was a nice area, very open and had a lot of people there as well. This would make a great nesting area, if it weren't for the fact that this was all neutral lands, that was the only sucky thing about it.
He started down heading to one of the shops, just watching the people around him as he was making his way there, not knowing if he was going to be dealing with anyone today. He just had his plan to go in and get the things that he wanted and watch people, this was actual going to be a lot harder then he thought it was going to be.

Er, no, it really shouldn't be smoking like that. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Thanks anyways." Luz rolled her eyes at these students, most only a few years her juvenile. Was she ever this innocent, this ignorant of the knowledge that casters must possess in order to survive in this world? She couldn't really remember ever having been this way, but, she was probably flattering herself. She looked down at the woven basket which, just ten minutes ago, had held enough honeysuckle for a class probably three times this size, sighing. She was going to need to make a trip to Elya. "Well, darlings, I think we need to call it a day right about now. I think we need some more herbs anyhow. Please, be here at noon tomorrow, okay? No excuses, you all know we don't like tardiness. Alright, alright. You guys are free to go. Have fun. Don't blow anything up..." The last part was only half a joke...the kids had been known to do some crazy things in the past, resulting in some damage to the House at times, which was pretty much dead frowned upon. Luz waited for the last of the stragglers to leave, then gathered her things and headed to her room in the House.
Being a trainer, she was allowed a quarter in the House, in which she could keep some necessities if she wished, because it was understood that the trainers basically lived on site, and taught almost twenty four seven, if there was enough demand. And yes, demand had gone way up ever since the second war started. They understood how powerful their enemies, the dragons and vampires, were, and understood that they would need to be able to hold their own if the time came. That meant training the kids young and making sure they completely understood what was expected of them out in the real world. Luz used the stairs to the right of the back door of the House, entering a hall on the second floor. Her room was the last one at the end of this hall, on the left. As she approached the door, she spotted a yellow flower attached, by magic of course, to the sturdy dark wood. Nobody knew where exactly the blooms came from, only that they probably were meant to symbolize the beauty that was still left in this Earth, even after The Death destroyed a great deal of it.
When going to Elya, Luz liked to dress relatively nicely, feeling as she represented the casters. However, part of it was that, unless you had the sense of smell that the vampires and wolves possessed, most people couldn't tell one race from the other when they were all mashed together in the neutral central city. Nevertheless, Luz liked to think that, even if she was figured out, she would be seen as regal and elegant, always in control. This was a big thing for Luz, because, even though she appeared happy and nonchalant at most times, she was usually obsessing on the inside. She was the sort of person who had to have things in order and, if she didn't, it killed her. She chose a cobalt blue blouse from her cherry wood wardrobe, one that cinched at the waist and would accent her slim figure, as well as a flowing black skirt. The skirt reached just above her knees and was, to say the least, very tasteful. She paired these things with a pair of simple black flats as well as her signature locket. The silver, oval shaped locket with it's flower cut out on the outside was a beautiful heirloom in her family, passed from mother to daughter. She felt a great honor in wearing it.
She exited her room, grabbing the empty basket on the way out, and hurried down the stairs. She intended to use the car that was open to any caster. Most of the groups still lived near Elya, since it was a necessity to live near the central city near their times of peace, and most were too stubborn to bother with moving. Cars were something that were being slowly rebuilt, with the help of a few very intelligent shifters, who were always open to the requests of any group. The car that the casters had managed to get their hands on looked like an old Mercedes and was bright red in color. Luz opened the door, set her things inside, and climbed in. Because of the House's close proximity to Elya, the drive shouldn't take her more than an hour. She drove fast, as well, so the trip was cut down quite a bit. By the forty five minute mark, she could see the tall buildings that marked Elya's rebuilt center. Building it on the remains of Washington DC had seemed fitting - their founders had seen this capital as fit, why shouldn't they? The city was magnificent, for sure, the colorful buildings showing what could be produced when the races worked together in harmony.
Elya managed to remain neutral only out of the necessity that all creatures needed resources from the city, and couldn't survive without them. It was a grudging acceptance that drove the races to continue the use of the city. However, fights were common and, without any police force besides the occasional kind shifter who would try to stop a fight, some led to death. Luz parked her car on the outskirts of town, intending to walk a bit before getting the the herb market. She loved stretching her legs, which she didn't get to do much back at the House. Ever since the second war started, parents were having their children trained earlier and earlier in life, as 'they were the future, and our only hope of protection'. Of course, Luz recognized that the dragons and vampires were dangerous, however, she was in serious need of a break. She strolled along, a leisurely pace that seemed to say that she had nowhere specific to be anytime soon. It was because of this leisurely pace that she ran into the male, dropping her basket in the process in the process and ending up tripping over her own feet. On the ground, she looked up at him with an apologetic gaze, hoping he would not be too angry. "Um, sorry, ignore that, sorry..."
Her sweet nature was coming out as she began to pull herself up, trying to see if the male was angry. The ruble that it took to get ones mined wrapped around the state of things, well Zain was the crazy one after all so this was going to be interesting. Ever since he had been a young dragon, and that was some long time ago, you would never believe how old he was, though he looked like he was no older then 25, though he was way past that but you wouldn’t know. He liked that about being a dragon, looks could so be deserving, it was amazing. Anyway, he also had a hot temper, and knew that if someone got on his bad side, there were going to be many heads rolling around in the street that day. That was why he was working on being a good guy, watching the different kinds of people working there way through the city, and doing the things that they wanted and were needing to do there. He wondered what life would be like if he had not been born a dragon. Now that was something to think about, he would have to put some more thought into something like that, or he would just have to stop thinking about it then.
Other then the war, the only thing that was setting hard in his head was the fact that his advisers were trying to get him married off. That was annoying, just because he was not married right then and there, they were saying that he might appear weak because he doesn’t have someone by his side at all times. Oh they were driving him nuts, and if there was one thing that he did not like, was pushy people trying to get him to do something that he didn’t want to do right then and there. Sure, he’s screwed many of the girls in the area, some more then once. Though he never thought any of them to be worthy enough to end up as his wife. They were all to, well they were in it for the name, and cared nothing for him, he didn’t like that so he hadn’t married yet. Maybe one day, he will find the right kind of girl that will just spark the interest in him again, now just finding her. He gave a laugh and shook his head, getting them thoughts out of his head was the point right now, he had other things to do.
So he brought himself back down to reality as he was looking at the shops that were in the area. How many different ones there were, some where like others well, had some things that were like the others. Some, were something that he had never seen before, he wondered how they got there stuff and who they were having to kill to get half of it. He shrugged his shoulders and sighed some, this was an interesting place, and he knew all the things now that were going on. Which was not much, this seemed to much like a peaceful place with nothing much to do other then shop, and look at different kinds of things and people as they go about there day there. It was kind of boring to him, and now he knew why he liked to fight, it was fun, exciting and. His thoughts left him as he was tripped over, and looking around for the idiot that had done so. Looking down he saw the girl on the ground as she was getting up from where she had landed there. Rising a brow for a moment he looked at her and tried taking everything in. "No harm, no foul." He said simply and shrugged again. "Are you ok?" He asked seeing that she had taken a nasty tumble.

I'm fine. Really. I swear." Luz waved away his concern with one small hand, the other one helping her to push off the ground below her. She gathered herself and found her things once more, picking up the basket, which had luckily been empty. She then let her hands go to her hair, refastening the bobby pins there after smoothing it again. Finally, she inspected each inch of her body for any harm. The first thing she saw was a quite lovely gash on the lower part of her left calf, and she sighed at that. Normally, healing herself wouldn't really be any problem. However, she didn't want to do it right here, worried what race the male might be and worried what he might think about her being a caster and all. She fished a tissue out of the purse that she was also carrying, which had stayed securely on her shoulder during the fall, and wiped at the wound. She intended to clean it up then, after apologizing a few more times, sneaking off to heal it a bit more. She hoped the male wouldn't be too mad, but she couldn't really tell how he would react to all of this. For the most part he seemed pretty calm and laid back, but, he could blow up at any moment and get angry at her for running into him.
She took this time to study the male now, mostly to asses the danger she would be in, how much of a threat he would pose if he decided to get angry. Sure, she could always use her magic, however, she didn't want to give herself away too much, instead, she thought she could depend on her physical strength for a bit. He was easily over a foot taller than her, and quite broadly built as well. She could tell even underneath the clothes that he was well muscled, and probably one of the creatures that had to rely on their physical attributes more often then not. Probably not a vampire, and not a caster, or she would recognize him for sure. Truth be told, if this guy got mad and decided to attack or something, she was going to lose. She had never been much of a hand to hand combat fighter, something most of the casters didn't take a part in because they didn't see the need in it, and she had never really....been in a fight before. Even in the few times that the battles had been fought, she had been held back, she wasn't a warrior quite obviously. She was one of the five valuable trainers, she couldn't be spared. So, basically, should this guy decide to do something, Luz was dead.
She decided to brush this all off. She would treat this guy with plenty of the kind, friendly sweetness that she was trademarked for, along with the dose of realism that she generally brought to conversation. So, she decided the best method would be to introduce herself, and hope for the best. "By the way, I'm Luzerne Delacour. Well, that's quite a mouthful...most people call me Luz."
She said the introduction firmly and clearly, her face raised almost all the way up to see into the male's eyes. She brushed some of the dark hair that had fallen across her blue eyes and squared her shoulders decisively. She was going to seem cool, distant, strong...totally careless. Sure, this guy could probably break her in half with one blow. And yes, she was quite intimidated, thanks anyhow. But she intended to take this all in stride, which meant sticking to the plan and appearing, for the most part, unscathed. Truth be told, because of her small stature, Luz was very easily intimidated. However, she knew she had quite powerful spells up her sleeve and, if it came to beat or be beaten, she would shed the cloak secrecy and cast him on fire or something. Hopefully. Zain still tried to help her up, as much as a bumbaly large lizard in human form could do something like that. Even if she wanted to wave him off form the things that he was trying to do. When she did get up to her feet, he couldn’t help a chuckle. He had been around many people, but none as short as she was, then again, he was monstrously tall, that was something he couldn’t help, he was a dragon after all. He looked her over, there were some things that he could tell about her from the point that he was standing at there. She was not a vampire, she wouldn’t be out there in the sun like that if she was. She also was not a dragon, he knew all the dragons, and one dragon to another, you could smell each other, even if you were in human form, so she was not a dragon. Also, she was not a wolf, that was something else, to Dragons, wolfs smelled very bad, like wet dog and it was kind of odd to them. Naw, no there was something else about her that he could not get into his head, he would have to find that out later.
When she told him her name he had to small, that was when his nature kicked in and he bowed a little it. "Honor to meet you Miss Delacour, my names Zain, Zain Delwyn" He grinned off as he shifted onto his feet and looked at her again, he was still trying to work out what kind of person she was, she wasn’t vampire or wolf, so she had to either be one of them witchy people or she was a shifter, one of them ones that could turn into things. He never had to much luck with that kind of people, and he always tried to stay as much from the shifters as possible. He knelt down some so she wouldn’t be scared of him towering over her like that as he moved to look into her face again. She did have a very pretty face, ah, he had to stop, always getting in the way with silly things like that. "Just thinking so you wont have to crane your neck so much." He said politely figuring she would be happy with that as well, he tried to be nice sometimes with other people

'best thing that's E V E R been mine. ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° Now that Luz felt like she had more control over herself, having cleaned the wound for the most part as well as straightened her hair, she was able to focus on the male and get a real feel of what he was all about. He seemed kind enough, though Luz couldn't be sure of his race quite yet. For now, she would merely have to stay on the offensive, ready to pounce at any moment and not taking anything he said too seriously. There was, however, one small problem: the male standing before her was hot. Like, incredibly so. Luz had always gotten herself in trouble because she liked 'bad boys', those with darker hair and solid muscles and, though she couldn't be sure because of the amount of skin that his clothing left to the imagination, tattoos. She actually felt herself yearning to lean forward and examine the skin underneath his sleeves for traces of tattoos, to see if he had any, to ask their meanings. Luz herself had only had one tattoo, and that was one in the shape of a small star above her left anklebone. The tattoo was colored in gold, and, to her, it reminded her to push on, to follow this 'guiding star'. It was stupid, sure, but it was hers.
When he introduced himself, Luz all but choked. Zain Delwyn. The Dragon Sage. Really, there was no mistaking the name, the titles of all the leaders were common knowledge. So, yes, now she definitely knew what he was. She was sure she turned a few shades paler than her normal ivory at that moment. "Omigod. The Zain Delwyn? Geez dude, no wonder you're so scary looking."
As soon as the sentence popped out of her mouth she squeaked and raised her hand to her mouth, as if covering it would make the sound go away. Luz knew she was short, standing at barely five feet tall, but this guy was just a giant. Suddenly, it seemed crazy as to why she hadn't considered the dragon possibility earlier....certainly, he fit the description of a tall, strong dragon. Her cheeks burned in embarrassment as he knelt to accommodate for her; she felt incredibly childlike in that moment. Usually, her height didn't matter, most casters were built shorter and she had a way of carrying herself so as to seem taller and more powerful than she actually were. However, dwarfed by Zain, she didn't see any way in which she could 'make herself seem taller'. She seemed to find her voice some moments later, the flush in her cheeks settling down a bit by that point. "Wow, that was rude. I'm really, really sorry. Anyhow, so, yes, I do recognize the name. So I know what you are...I also know that you probably don't need to be talking to me. I'm kind of....um, well, just not the creature you'd probably want to be seen with by your big bad dragon buddies. So...in short, I should probably go because what happens here might just lead to trouble and neither of us really wants trouble now, do we?" The whole phrase came out sounding like almost one sentence, because she didn't really stop for air between any of the words. Instead, she plowed right through them, clearly nervous to death. Sure, she was a brave little fighter, but she had never been this close to a dragon, let alone the Dragon Sage, for crying out loud. Truth be told, she was afraid to even stick around much longer, for fear he would figure out what she was and then turn on her. She looked up, now eye level with him, trying to search his eyes for any unkindess, mistrust, or hint that he may pounce on her at any moment. He never thought that the names were that well know, he just knew who everyone else were, the leaders that was. He didn’t think that everyone would know who he was. Then again, being the son of his father and mother, and everyone knowing what was going on with him and all. It just seemed that he was going to stand out more then the other people were going to stand out. He just wanted to make sure that she was alright, and that he had done her no harm with all the things that had gone on. So he was also being polite and telling her his name, he did not think that he was going to get the reaction that he had got from her. He stood there for a moment and blinked, she seemed like a nice person, and maybe a little weak with what she was. He would not hold something like that against her, because she was pretty after all, and he kind of liked the way that she looked, so he was going to let what she had said past him, like something that did not bother him, because well, it did not bother him at all.
"Whoa hold on." He said putting his hand up when she was going on and on about being there with him. He could tell that she was scared to be around him, though he was really a rather kind and gentle dragon, and did not like to kill or hurt unless he had to. "Lets get a few things strait so you don’t come off thinking that all dragons are, barbarian blood hungry beasts as most people seem to think we are." He said as he shifted on his legs, looking down at her so that he could look her in the face and show her, show her that he was a nice dragon, and he was not going to hurt her there. "Well first thing, yes im that dragon, but im not a bad guy. We dragons ell most of us, only hunt and kill if we have the need, or if we are fighting. We don’t just go and hurt someone just because that they know we are dragons. Besides this is neutral land and i couldn’t do something like that even if i wanted to." He laughed that last bit about even if he wanted to, that was true, but he didn’t want to so what was the matter there.
"Second thing is, i don’t care what you are, you seem like a very nice person. Be it a bit on the more shy side, and likes to ramble on a bit, but that’s very nice. A lot different then the people that I am used to around home. So, please don’t think that im just going to hurt you or whatever just because you ran into me on accident, or that you know who I am its alright." He said and smiled off again, he liked to smile, and she seemed like a nicer person then the other people that he had been dealing with that day. So he got up onto his feet again and stretched out making himself seem taller, then yawned and shifted down again so he was not so tall. He let his eyes sparkle and shine as they danced around the area that they were in. Other people were watching them, but were giving it not that much though, many people stopped and talked along the walk way all the time, so why would this be any different then any other time and any other people out there.

'best thing that's E V E R been mine. She was surprised when she heard his voice rise in disagreement, and turned to face him again, one thin, dark eyebrow crooked in confusion as he began to speak. A small smile crept across her tiny mouth as he went on about being a good, kind dragon. She could see it in his eyes now, which were full of genuine kind feeling and what seemed like assurance. She got the feeling that he really did mean every word he was saying, and wasn't intending to try and mislead her. She felt herself calm then, her whole body easing as she relaxed now. She was no longer scared stiff of Zain....she was wary, sure, but she felt like she could trust him. It was weird, but Luz was usually pretty quick to trust people. She wanted to believe that there was good in everyone, good in this world still, despite all the wrongs that had happened not only to her but to everyone around her lately. However, she wanted deeply to trust Zain, she wanted deeply to get to know him better, for some reason. She could feel her heart twinging in an all too familiar way, but, for once, it didn't scare her....she felt at ease.
The thing about Luz was that she also loved far too quickly. That had been her problem over the last few years; she had dated at least half of the male casters her age, and none of them seemed to be compatible. In a relationship, there had to be a match of wills, a match of powers. If one of the people in the relationship had too much power over the other, it was a disaster in the making. And, while they had theoretically been on the same plane ability wise, Luz had always had a stronger personality than most of the male casters. She was a spitfire, a crazy kid, the kind of person who, when wanting to be heard, yelled at the rest of the people in the room to shut the hell up and listen to what she had to say. She had no self control at times and was a self-indulgent type of girl. What that meant was, that, when she what she wanted, she went after it almost instantly. She didn't do for the stupid awkward stuff, she didn't really care what people thought of her. What most bothered her was having to pretend that she felt some emotion that she clearly did not. She was a creature full of impulses, and, for sure, she was going to act on them. She was not one to let go once she got her sights on something.
She listened to the last part of his little speech and simply grinned for a moment, taking in the sweet words. "Alright, alright, you have me convinced. And I'll have you know, I don't ramble....I merely say a lot of things all at once." She said this all matter-of-factly, gaining more of her usual self-confidence back, now that she had gotten over the trauma of initially meeting this humongous person. She scanned the street now, as she caught him also doing out of the corner of her dark brown eyes, and saw that nobody was really giving them any notice. That was what was so great about Elya...everyone could be themselves. It was sort of like what the world had been lost immediately follow The Death, after those ignorant humans finally got out of the way. They could have fun, for once. They could be themselves. Sometimes, Luz missed those days, the days when they were all at peace. However, she recognized the wrongs that the vampires had done, and understood that they needed to be punished. She looked up and down the street again, spying the popular cafe just a few feet away from them. "I don't suppose you're hungry, by any chance, Mr. Zain? Or is it....what's your official title? Dragon Sage?"

He chuckled, something about her was rather funny, she had a light about her as well and that was hard to come by in a lot of people these days. Sure he could have just been seeing things, he had been known to do that as well. He was just pretty sure that there was something more about her, that he was going to have to find out about later. For now he was having a pretty good time just hanging out, and talking like this, finding out more about the other person. He couldn’t help another chuckle when she was going on about how she didn’t ramble, she just said a lot of things all at once, wasn’t that what rambling was? He was pretty sure on that, and he was also pretty sure that he was going to keep note, not to get her going or he was going to be in bad shape later on there. He just shrugged some, and didn’t bring it up again, that was one thing that he learned with women, you did not argue with them, well most of the time you did not, if you knew what was good for you at lease, and this was a good spot.
He got back up again and looked down at her, he had some thoughts that were running in his head, and he did not know where he wanted to go with the questions that have come up upon him. She was pretty, and he was having a hard time coming up with the words that he wanted to ask. Damn his mother for not telling him what to do when he meet a lady, most of the time he was just around his friends that were girls, or the sluts that he was screwing around with. He had no chance dealing with a real lady after all. This bugged him, and he had no idea why, maybe it was the fact that he had been forgetting where he was, and what it was that he was doing. So breathing in then out, he had to come to grips with what was going on there and come up with something to say at the same time. Oh that was not going to be as hard as he was thinking it was to be, thanks to the fact that she said something about food, and he had heard his tummy just go off about eating, that was a good save for him.
"Food sounds good, and please just call me Zain, no mr or sage or whatever, just Zain, it doesn’t sound so stupid." He laughed a moment, He made sure that there was no dirt on his clothes as he checked himself out in one of the store windows. It just seemed that he was rather handsome, yeah, yeah he was also very full of himself at a time like this. So shifting he turned back to her and smiled. "If you would like to go and get something to eat with just another dragon around town." He laughed a moment, he thought that it was kind of funny that he said something like that. He was hitting on all fours when it came to his mood. Now he was worried that he was making an idiot of himself, or an ass whatever it was he was a bit put off on himself now. Coughing a moment he moved over to her more and held his arm out for her to take. "If you would like, it would be my honor to walk you over to the cafe for some lunch?" He asked as he smiled brightly at her, he was trying to put the charm on as best he could.

He wasn't too intimidating after you got over the initial shock of his broad shoulders and tall stature. She suspected he wouldn't hurt anyone without a valid reason, unlike those bloodthirsty vampires. She hadn't really had too much experience with dragons, just the stories she had heard from friends and family. She had always had kind of this shadowed perspective of them, because they sided with the vampires, which were definitely evil creatures. Personally, Luz really felt like the werewolves were in the right, which was why she was so happy that her race had decided to side with them. She believed that what the vampires did, feeding on people with no thought as to wether or not they would give their consent, was deeply wrong, and she felt like they should be punished for that. She had never really given any thought to the dragons other than that they sided with the vampires, so they must be evil as well, so she should steer clear of them. The only friends she had were other casters, she didn't even know any of her own allies, only in passing. Heck, she didn't even have a best friend.
She practically laughed out loud as he shook his head at the title. "Good, because calling you Sage all day could've gotten really boring really fast." She admitted, shrugging. It was just too formal to mess with titles....she didn't even ask her students to call her by any other title rather than her first name. To most people she knew, she was simply Luz, since her full first name was so cumbersome. She grinned as he accepted her offer for lunch. She was sure there was a hint of surprise in her clear blue eyes, as she took in his strong arm, which he had offered in support of her. It felt like an odd gesture, at first, but, as soon as Luz slipped her slender arm into the crook of his strong one, she felt at ease. It was odd, how different physically they were, however, she didn't find it scary too much anymore. Instead, she kind of felt a sense of protection about him, as if he might be able to protect her from something, should the time come. Not that she couldn't protect herself, no, just that, if she should be in trouble, she could call on him.
"Well, I accept your offer, and it would be my honor to accompany you."
She said just as formally. She hesitated for a second, then leaned up and planted a kiss on his cheek, which she could just barely reach by standing on her tip-toes and stretching to her full extent. Luz was pretty naturally flirty and, now that she was getting more comfortable with this male, she could begin to be herself again. She gently tugged him towards the small cafe, quiet for the moment, using this time to study passerby. It was like travelling back in time, here at the capital. Everything was much more peaceful here, and everyone seemed to get along. Today was a particularly good day, no fights had yet to break out, and everyone seemed at ease. This made Luz relax even further, and she leaned more into Zain without really realizing it, kind of relying on his strength as they walked towards the cafe. She had about a million crazy thoughts running through her head, however, she fought to appear calm, cool and collected, as if she were perfectly at ease.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° ° 'the TAG. zain 'the COUNT. six-hundred and twelve 'the OUTFIT. this 'the SONG. mine by taylor swift 'the PICTURES. paige! at the disco of caution 2.0

Zain didn’t know the whole reason that they had taken on being around with the vampires. Maybe it was because they were strong, and he was strong, and he knew that if they put the two strong creatures together, they would be able to get the things that they wanted. He was sure that one day, when he really sat down and thought about it, that he would know the real reason why they had gone to war like this, but for now, he was not going to bring that up, because that would ruin the time that they were having there in the city and all. Plus he had promised his followers that worked for him, that he would not do something stupid, he just wanted to have a good time there in the city with other people, and with someone that seemed to be rather nice out of everyone. Sure, the vampires drank blood, but that was just how they were, how else were they suppose to live and all, it was just like, are they suppose to starve to death, just because people were so paranoid that they weren’t going to share some blood to help another live. That was something that pissed him off, this whole world was fucked up.
He snorted laughing when they were talking about his name, oh yeah, he would have been going insane if she kept calling him that. He did hate it when the people he worked with only called him that, he didn’t know how many times he yelled at them to call him Zain or something else. But they wouldn’t listen to him, and he was always rolling his eyes at them when they got snappy with him. "Yeah and i think i would have like to shot a fire ball at something, personally i wish everyone would just call me Zain, but they got sticks up there butts, and hate it so they call me the Dragon Sage and all this other fancy stuff. It kind of bothers me, but i cant do much about it really." He said shrugging his shoulders some. He felt like he had to be the gentlemen though, because after all, she was a lady and he had to do something nice, so he had held out his arm to her, it was the least that he could do in the long run. She after all looked like would thought it to be nice, so he was happy with it.
"That’s great, then this will be a great time for some food" He said as he looked at her, knowing that everything was going to be ok for this time. When she had leaned up and kissed his cheek he flushed. Yes if you had ever seen a dragon flush that was about the time. He felt warm under the collar and a little more light headed then he thought that he had been before. This was something cool, and yet he knew that he had to play it cool, he couldn’t get to hopeful for something nice, so he just smiled brightly as he held onto her arm more as they walked. He thought that it was very nice that she was holding onto his arm like that, and that they seemed to fit so well together like that. He watched the other people as they were walking around them, and just keeping it such a calm and peaceful time, he was having a lot of good thoughts, and good time with this. When they got there he held the door open for her and bowed some. "After you my lady" He said smiling softly.

That meant, really, that if she wanted to hug somebody, she would hug them. It usually was such a kind gesture, full of happiness and pure love and joy, that most people thought nothing of Luz randomly coming up and hugging them. The casters she worked with understood that this was just part of her nature, and knew that she was simply a very touchy-feely person. Even with people she was meeting with for the first time, she would be very hands on. She felt like it allowed her to get to better know the person, to get a sense of who they were. Some might do this by careful observation, however, Luz had never been much of an observer. She much better preferred to be in the action, taking part, being the one who was being watched, rather than be that girl watching from the sidelines, it was simply seemed boring and pointless to her. She would trade watching an event, perhaps learning a lesson, for actually being in the event, living the experience moment after moment, any day. That was simply how she lived her life, to the absolute fullest possible.
Seeing as she was such an impulsive being back home, she was rarely treated like the adult she rightly was. Outside of her actual trainer position, she had few responsibilities, and acted pretty innocent and childlike and innocent most of the time. This wasn't to say that Luz was completely innocent, however, it just seemed so. For example, Luz had had several boyfriends, serious ones even, but she hadn't yet lost her virginity. She supposed this one lacking experience lent itself to her good girl image, however, it wasn't by any particular choice of hers. The guys had always been wrong, the moment had always been wrong, or both. Nothing had ever seemed to line up with any of the guys she had found herself dating, which was probably why she stopped dating them in the first place. However, Luz wasn't resentful that she lacked this experience, instead, she felt like it gave her one more thing to add to the list of things she was looking forward to doing before she died someday. Truthfully, that was the most thought she ever gave to the matter, and it wasn't something she obsessed over. However, she was getting a little tired of this innocent little girl thing.
So, she was sort of trying to break that mold today. Trying to be more bold, so to speak. This guy didn't know her, and wasn't aware of the reputation she had at home. Therefore, she could create somewhat of a new version of herself for him to see, of course, without lying about anything. Any question he asked her would be answered quite truthfully, but her bold actions were not something she might normally do. Such as the kiss on the cheek, making the first move sort of thing. She was quite pleased with herself for this, and thought she saw a blush rush into his cheeks. This surprised her, but she kept quiet about it, instead focusing again on those people around her. She was enjoying this day and relishing his company, so she was in no hurry for it to end. Therefore, the suggested meal seemed like a perfect idea, since she was practically starving. She laughed when he called her my lady, rolling her eyes at the title, before skipping forwards and pulling him with her. "C'mon, let's go. I haven't eaten anything since breakfast this morning, and you don't even want to hear what I had to deal with between then and now." she said happily, propelling them both towards the cafe with more force that one would have thought possible for one so small.

Zain really didn’t know how he was going to fill up his thoughts with something to think about that would get him through all of this. Seeing that she was sapping it all out of him, he just felt all warm and fuzzy on the inside, even through he was a dragon, and he couldn’t be fuzzy on the inside because well, he was just a dragon and all. He had never felt this way with another person that he had been around, sure he could get just about any girl he wanted back home, but that was all just for sex. He had even slept with one of his advisers, well she was really good in bed, and had well kinky things with that as well. But that was not here or now, and he did not know how she would be, and would not push something like that with her because she was different, and he liked that kind of different, because he did not want to act the way he did with everyone else when he was with her. She was something else, and he felt like he had to be something else just so that he did not scare her off.
Sure some of his friends back home would call him a horn ball, or a sex starved individual, but he was not like that, he just liked making people happy. This time though, he had this odd feeling that she wanted something more then just that, and he did not want to push that off onto her, it would be a deal breaking thing. Also he would think that she would think that he was just some stupid idiot and some jerk that had no right to be a leader for anything. He didn’t want to scare her, and she was sure something that he wanted to stay with, she was pretty, and amazing and well all the things that he could think was the most amazing thing about her as well. He was hooked line and sinker with her. He just had to make sure that he was going to stay the good man that she was going to want. He was so making sure not to mess this up, he was also going to prove to his advisers, he knew when it was the right time to keep it in his pants after all.
His mind was so far off in his thoughts, scared to make a move that might piss her off, that he was having a hard time coming back to the world that he was suppose to be in. That was until she said to come on and she had dragged him along, complaining that she was hunger and stuff. It made him laugh and happy to know that she was a real person, and not some plastic stuck up person that he had dealt with before. He walked with her into the cafe and made sure that he had everything with him as well, holding the door open for her, he had asked for a good table that was near a window, he loved windows and he liked to be sitting near them when he was having food. So he was glad, for the first time that he had someone nice to be with him for some food. He then moved he chair and then helped her into he seat at the table, then taking his own seat he sat down and sighed some haply, the menus were put down in front of them, and he ordered himself something to drink first, as he waited for what she was going to want. "Don't worry this is all on me." He said shifting back in the chair again.
